The Southeastern Pastel Society sponsors one workshop per year in conjunction with its annual show. All our workshops are taught by
Signature and Master Pastelists in the Pastel Society of America.

2010 WORKSHOP:
The Thinking Part of Painting

"The Thinking Part of Painting" will examine the thinking process that leads to producing stronger, more expressive paintings that exhibit a greater sense of individuality. Emphasis will be on the role of color and composition in producing paintings that are unified in concept, content, and execution. Plan on working with photographs (possibly painting out of doors).
Supplies: come equipped with pastels and paper of choice.

Duane Wakeham, Master Pastelist, PSA, will be the juror and workshop instructor for 2010. His wide range of experience includes college instruction, art book author, and workshop instruction all over the world.
