Since arriving in Atlanta in 1988, Trilby has painted hundreds of portraits in the Atlanta area. Many of these portraits have been done as a result of referrals from previous clients. Her portraits are also in collections nationwide. She is an award-winning artist. In 2004 and 2006 she had portraits published in “The Pastel Journal” magazine as one of the 100 Best Pastels of the previous year. North Light Books, book club for those interested in the study of art, published an article on her work in their monthly magazine, Winter Edition 2003. Trilby has attained the status of “Member of Excellence” in the Southeastern Pastel Society and “Member of Merit in the Atlanta Portrait Society. She has won numerous awards in both organizations.
Trilby received her training at Traphagen School of Art and Parsons School of Design in New York City, Boston University, and the University of Texas. She has also studied with nationally recognized artists Daniel Greene and Lajos Markos.Trilby is particularly well known for her children’s portraits. Her work is valued for its beauty, sensitivity and for her unusual ability to capture likeness. She strives to create a compelling portrait and an exquisite work of art that her clients will cherish forever.
