Sharon is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.A. degree in Pictorial Arts. She has a California Secondary Teaching Credential in Art Education from the UCLA Graduate School of Education. During the 1970's, Sharon taught art in the Poway School District, in San Diego, California; she is currently an adult education instructor at Spruill Education Center, in Atlanta.

Sharon paints landscapes and florals, but is best known for her fruit. Her vibrant images have been reproduced on floor mats and sold at Bed, Bath, and Beyond retail stores. Her work has been on the cover for the Patient Care Brochure for
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), selected from a national competition. She has participated in group shows at the Spruill Gallery and Swan Coach House Gallery.

Sharon is responsible for membership and graphics for the Southeastern Pastel Society. She is a Signature Member of the Southeastern Pastel Society
