Finding stimulation in exploring new materials and techniques, Miriam Prinkerton began painting with pastels in 2001, after using watercolor and acrylic as her medium for years. She has studied with noted instructors Susan Ogilvie, Diane Johnson, Sean Dye and Vivian Ripley.

Miriam's artwork has appeared in the St. John's Art Museum, Watercolor Society of NC, Southern Watercolor Society and the National Collage Society. Her paintings are currently being shown at Franklin Square Gallery, Southport, NC and Sunset River Marketplace in Calash, NC. She is an active member of the Associated Artists of Southport, Wilmington Art Association, Watercolor Society of NC, Southern Watercolor Society, National Collage Society and the Pastel Society of NC.
