GALLERY REPRESENTATION A native of Atlanta, Debra is a representational artist working mostly in pastels and oils. Choosing from a wide range of subject matter, Debra loves figurative, landscape, cityscapes, still lifes and interiors. She enjoys painting out-of-doors and founded the Plein Air Painters of Georgia whose main purpose is to get out of the studio and paint scenes around the state of Georgia. Debra tries to convey the mood of a scene for the viewer with her use of color and shapes. Her interiors reveal intimate spaces and often include people going about their daily lives. Landscapes often feature the effects of the weather of the day, whether windy and gray or bright streaks of sunshine at daybreak or sunset. AFFILIATIONS
